Learning Outdoors

The 6th grade class spent the day exploring the parks nearby the school.  We were able to see first hand how overtime water has naturally eroded the rocks that make up the creek beds.  Students were able to enjoy the beautiful scenery at North Lake Park while they ate their packed lunches (Kai, Esme and Jared also supplemented their lunches with wild chives!).  We made our way up through the Richland B&O trail before arriving back at Discovery.  The students had an enjoyable time, despite the chilly weather and the long walk.  It was so wonderful to have the opportunity to learn outside of the classroom.
