Inquiry Into Global Economics

Students worked independently and collaboratively to inquire into how economists compare data sets to draw conclusions about them.  Each group was responsible for choosing what countries to research, gathering and organizing information, and drawing conclusion on that data.  Each group of students compiled their data and presented their opinions.

Students were asked to consider the following questions:

Why do certain countries specialize in certain products?

Why are certain products imported while others are exported?

Do geographic features influence economic activities?

How does the country capitalize on its natural resources?

How does the country use its available resources?

Is the country widely considered to be developed or developing?

How do the resources of a country limit that country?
