Where We Are In Place and Time

Central Idea: Favorable geographic characteristics led to the creation of ancient and unique systems which led to current civilizations.

Sixth grade worked as a team to unlock the locks on the breakout box and save ancient Egypt’s vibrant religious culture from the evil time traveling villain, “The Time Keeper”.  They had to uncover a variety of combinations and solutions from various clues before the one-hour countdown timer ran out. With their combined application of math skills, hieroglyphic translating skills, and vocabulary skills they were able to unlock the last lock with barely 2 minutes left on the timer!  As a reward, they will be receiving authentic Egyptian papyrus.
