This week in math, students used digital electrical multimeters to discover the capacity of various electrical resistors. Each resistor is rated for 1,000 OHMS with an allowance by the manufacturer of +/- 1% deviation (990-1010 OHMS). Students recorded their information using dot plots, which allowed them to then find the mean (average), median, and mode of the resistors’ accuracy.
